Simply inserted in the vase, the sunflowers present a soul-stirring splendid image. To give a tint of the Fourteen Sunflowers in a Vase adopted the impasto skills, which is like culturing a relief with clay. The colors of yellow and brown as well as the techniques adopted in the Sunflowers Vincent van Gogh present a beautiful world full of hope and sunshine. However, the moment Fourteen Sunflowers in a Vase, the beautiful world the paintings artist was trying to grasp slipped away ruthlessly. Vincent is an artist who loves nature and is capable of finding the pure beauty of simple things. Vincent's universe can last eternally in The Starry Night. He was a paintings artist who paint what he saw. If what the post impressionist saw was an illusion, he would paint as that. the Starry Night van Gogh is a close and remote landscape painting. This technique was frequently adopted by landscape painters in the 16th century, but the direct source of Vincent was from landscape paintings by Impressionists. The image of tall poplar trees in the Starry Night Gogh are quivering in front of us; the village in the valley dwells peacefully in the aegis of the churches with spires; all the stars and planets in the universe are rotating and erupting in the artwork of “The Last Judgement”. It is the last judgment for solar system rather than human being. van Gogh the Starry Night was painted in June 1889 in Saint Paul-de-Mausole.
In 1888, Vincent van Gogh invited Gauguin to live in Arles with him, but they argued constantly. One violent dispute ended in Gauguin’s going off in a rage. Failed to stop him, Vincent couldn't restrain his anger and even cut off the right of van Gogh ears. The oil painting on canvas Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear was painted at that time. Gazing at his twisted face of self portrait van Gogh, horrible eyes and trembling gesture, we seem to feel that the Vincent is suffering the punishment for all human beings, and becoming the incarnation of pain. Here we can understand the struggling lines and dancing colors in van Gogh portraits: Pigments mixed with his blood are pouring on the canvas made of bandage.
